Imam Abid Hasan accepted the religion of Al-Islam in 1979 under the leadership of Imam W.D. Mohammed. He has been a student and follower of the teachings of Imam W.D. Mohammed since that time.
He is a chaplain for the New York City Department of Correction since 1992.
He is the resident Imam of Masjid Muhammad in Jersey City, New Jersey since August 2008.
He is a member Of D.E.T.E.R (Delegation Established To End Recidivism) for over 28 years.
